Happy Thanksgiving Day back -- hope it was wonderful!
Ours is tomorrow -- no pecan wood or, this time, pecan pie this time. I normally make pumpkin chiffon pie and pecan pie, but since it's Davy birthday, he requested lemon meringue pie, and two pies are my limit.
I am a homeschooling mother who lives on a farm in Central Mississippi with a man (husband of 21 years), a boy(11), a girl(8), a horse, 9 cats, and a yellow dog. I have tried on many different hats in career, education, and life. Being a homeschooling farm mama requires me to wear almost all of those hats at once. I knew there was a reason for all those curves of life.

Is that a bourbon glaze on that turkey, Wisteria? Looks great!
Happy turkey day.
No, we smoke the turkey with pecan wood. We stuff the turkey with onions, apples, and celery then smoke it overnight. Yummy!

Happy belated Thanksgiving!
(I ate eggplant Parmesan. Delicious, but the presentation was sorely lacking, especially when compared to your beautiful pecan-smoked bird.)
