No Excuses

Thanks to my little sister who called and suggested the pear entry was getting stale, Melanie for de-lurking to inspire me with all the nice things she says about me, and Zilla who is ever encouraging via email, I am finally posting something.

Something.

Just kidding. I'll give you a brief update on activities here, then I'll go into detail in separate posts.

We've harvested gallons of honey, driven countless miles to get Princess to ballet practice and Nutcracker rehearsals, and spent many hours schooling.

I've read several good books and a couple of not so good books, knitted a jacket, a vest, and have completed half of another sweater, and started on the madness that will be Christmas card season.

My husband has completed one two week trip and leaves for another two week trip Tuesday at 3 a.m. so herding AWOL cattle is beginning to be old hat.

This doesn't begin to paint an accurate picture, as there are a lot of funny stories and interesting tidbits embedded in this madness I like to call normal life. I'll try to be more regular. Maybe I need more fiber.

I thought the pear thing was getting stale too but didn't want to say so. I figured you were busy but I was worried for about 2 minutes that maybe something untoward had happened what with all the weird weather down your way.

Sounds like busy in a good way.

I suspect you get plenty of fiber.

Are you ought of zucchini yet? ;-)

What you need is a long-range wireless microphone headset and voice recognition software, so we all can keep up with you.

How about the best and worst of the recently read books? I always like your book reports.

I love photos of any and all of your creative endeavors.

When you have time.

I hate to admit I was in Target yesterday, but, while there, I saw the very first Christmas-related items have hit the shelves.

That's the ONLY reason the word "Nutcracker" didn't send me into a panic. I've been in one since, you guessed it, yesterday!

At least I spelled the vegetable correctly.

It's not even 10:00 yet!

I'd pass you my Fiber One, but I don't think you need it. lol

You have a busy life! It makes me tired reading about it. =)

Yay! I looked across the field and see the lights on and the people home.

I was doing fine til you mentioned the Christmas cards lol.

I didn't mind the pears, since I canned a case of them the other week. Glad to know someone else was busy with them too! We have two very little trees that aren't bearing yet, so I'll be interested to see how the ripening process goes for us up here.

I'm not a knitter, but I'd like to see a picture of the jacket and vest :).

I would have thought the word zilla was looking for was "sick" as in "are you sick of zucchini yet". I am. Frost predicted tonight. I picked what was there and the rest can die....
